Other Types of Charitable Giving
Endowment and Major Gifts
Your support may also be given to sustain larger efforts such as building a healthy endowment for CYFUSA. Endowment gifts will be placed in a special investment fund that will support the works of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry and initiatives at the parish and diocesan levels in perpetuity. Major and endowment gifts may be pledged over a period of time (usually up to five years) allowing you to make a larger commitment.
Matching Gifts
You may double your gift if your employer matches charitable donations. Check with your human resources office to see if your company matches donations to charitable organizations like CYFUSA.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts are a way that you can make a gift larger than you thought possible. By carefully examining your giving potential with a financial professional, you may be able to give a wonderful gift while also receiving a tax advantage. Some examples of how you can support CYFUSA with a planned gift include:
1. Bequests
By making CYFUSA a beneficiary in your will, you will be leaving a lasting legacy. Please contact us for sample bequest language that you can use to make a gift.
2. Gifts of Life Insurance and Retirement Plan Assets
By naming CYFUSA as a beneficiary of your life insurance plan or retirement plan, you can give assets that will not impact you now. Consult a financial advisor about the tax advantages.
*If you have made a gift to us through your will or estate plan, please let us know. We would love to thank you for your generosity.
